Meet the LanguageLine Solutions Executive Team

Dennis G. Dracup, Chairman

Dennis has over 20 years of management experience. Prior to joining LanguageLine Solutions, he was the CEO of Gemkey.com and the President of Pitney Bowes Software Solutions. He earned his Executive Management Certificate from Northwestern University, a master’s degree in Information Systems from Roosevelt University, an MBA from State University of New York at Buffalo and bachelor’s degree in English from Canisius College.

Scott W. Klein, President and Chief Executive Officer

Scott is a seasoned executive with many years of leadership experience and success with achieving profitable growth in a variety of industries. Most recently Scott held the position of CEO of SuperMedia, Inc., a print and online publisher of yellow pages. Prior to that, Scott served as President and CEO of Information Resources, Inc. (IRI), a leading market research firm; President of the Consumer Industries, Retail & Energy division of Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS); President of PCMall, Inc., a $1.2 billion telesales, catalogue and Internet reseller of computer-related products; Executive V.P and COO for PrimeSource Building Products; as well as leadership roles with Pepsico Inc.; and Procter & Gamble Company. A graduate of Syracuse University, Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Dave Bethea, Vice President of Marketing and Sales Support

Dave has had a distinguished career in marketing and sales. He has successfully held senior sales leadership roles within, and built major brands and products across, two different industries. Prior to joining LanguageLine Solutions, Dave was Executive VP – Sales at SuperMedia where he led multidimensional sales divisions generating more than $1 billion in revenue, with over 1,200 teammates servicing a market of 360,000 clients. Prior to his appointment at SuperMedia, Dave served as regional Vice President of Operations for PrimeSource Building Products Inc., the nation’s largest independent distributor of building products with annual revenues of $1.3 billion. Dave also served as Vice President of national accounts for PrimeSource with a six-year track record managing its sales force and portfolio of clients. Dave holds a business management degree from California State University Fullerton, with graduate work in finance at The University of Texas at Dallas.

Vanessa Eke, Vice President and Managing Director

Vanessa joined LanguageLine Solutions as Managing Director and Vice President for UK and Europe in 2006. Following her Honours degree in English Literature, she embarked upon her professional career, first training with Peat Marwick in London (now KPMG) and then moving to VNU Business Publications where she enjoyed a successful career spanning sales, marketing and operational management roles.

This broad base of experience led to her role of Commercial Director for Financial Times Business where she gained further international and dot com experience. Building upon this base, she was invited to become Commercial Director and, subsequently, Managing Director for Nielsen Media Research UK and AdEx International. Vanessa is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars spanning both the public and commercial sectors.

Winnie Heh, Senior Vice President of Global Operations

Winnie has an extensive background in call center management, new market development, and sales management. During the last 22 years, she has served in various capacities at LanguageLine Solutions—such as interpreter recruiting, testing, training, product and market development, and sales management. As VP of International Sales and Business Development, she led our entry into the UK market, culminating in securing the market leadership position for LanguageLine Solutions in the UK through the acquisition of LanguageLine Limited in 2006.

In her current position, she is responsible for all aspects of service delivery at LanguageLine Solutions. Prior to joining LanguageLine Solutions, she was a conference interpreter and an Adjunct Professor at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She has an associate’s degree in Accounting and Statistics, a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Language, and a master’s degree in Translation and Interpretation.

Winnie Heh

Simon Yoxon-Grant, Vice President & General Manager of Enterprise & Government Sales

Simon has significant experience spanning sales and marketing disciplines in a variety of markets. Simon started his sales career in FMCG with Allied Domecq before serving in sales and management positions with Advanced Telecommunications and IBM.

During the past 13 years Simon has served in various capacities at LanguageLine developing considerable expertise of a broad range of customer requirements. His previous responsibilities have included Commercial Business Development Manager, Head of Government Sales, Channel Sales Director and Commercial Sales Director.

As the Sales and Marketing Director for the UK and Europe, Simon’s time was dedicated to the successful growth of the business by delivery of the highest quality service and sales support for both existing and new customers. Simon managed the UK and Europe’s sales, marketing and customer support teams to ensure consistent high quality support and tailored solutions throughout the regions.

Peter Wild, CIO

Peter Wild has been Chief Technology Officer at Pacific Interpreters since 2010. Peter’s information technology career includes a decade in executive roles, with more than 20 years of experience in various technology leadership positions in the financial and medical industries. Throughout his career, Wild has developed a reputation for supporting technology programs and planning, and directing activities that provide innovative, cost-effective IT and customer service solutions.

As CIO for Columbia Bank and Umpqua Bank, Wild achieved large bottom-line cost savings and improved customer service through business and IT alignment, implementation of project engagement standards, outsourcing, reorganization, streamlining organizations and implementing change management based on various findings from all components of the IT and operational portfolios.

Peter Wild

Frederick J. Moyle, BSEET, CPHIMS, Vice President & General Manager, Healthcare Sales

Over the past 25 years Fred has served in the U.S. Air Force and held leadership positions with several global companies including Bell Atlantic, GE Healthcare and Siemens. At General Electric Fred held the position of General Manager with their Enterprise Clients Group and at Siemens Fred’s most recent role was Executive Director – Healthcare Solutions, North America. In his current role Fred is responsible for LanguageLine Solutions’ healthcare vertical sales organization.

Fred holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology from Thomas A. Edison State College of New Jersey and is currently pursuing a Master of Science, Management at the same institution. Fred is also a Certified Professional, Health Information Management Systems (CPHIMS) with the Health Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS). Fred and his family reside in Roswell, GA.

Frederick J. Moyle BSEET, CPHIMS, VP & GM, Healthcare Sales

Frank A. Perry, Vice President of Human Resources

Frank Perry is a 30-year Senior HR executive with a strong emphasis in operations management and measurable success across domestic and international business industries. Frank is an expert at positioning the business to grow profits and an effective motivator of productive organizations and management teams. Most recently Frank was Senior V.P. of Human Resources for Lanoga Corporation, later ProBuild Holdings, the nation’s largest supplier of building materials with sales of $6 billion.

He has managed full-service HR departments including an employee base of 23,500. Through his HR consulting practice, Perry Business Solutions, Frank has worked with such organizations as Habitat for Humanity, College Success Foundation, WA Mentoring and Zion Prep Academy focusing on both non-profit and for profit organizations. Frank strengthens LanguageLine Solutions with the experience and track record of building a motivated, goal-centric team of professionals.

Michael Schmidt, Senior Vice President and CFO

Michael has served as LanguageLine Solutions’ Senior Vice President of Finance since July 23, 2007 and Chief Financial Officer since August 15, 2007. Prior to joining the Company and since April 2004, Michael was Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Autobytel. From April 2002 to April 2004, he was Chief Financial Officer at Telephia Inc., a leading provider of performance information for the mobile telecommunications industry.

From December 2000 to August 2001, Michael was Chief Financial Officer of Autoweb.com, Inc., an automotive marketing services company. From May 2000 to October 2000, he was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at MizBiz, an Internet startup. From September 1999 to May 2000, Michael was Director of Finance at Pacificare Health Systems, a health care company. From 1988 to March 1999, Mr. Schmidt held various senior level finance and operational positions at IMS Health, a worldwide provider of information services. He began his career as a certified public accountant with Ernst & Whinney. Michael received a Bachelor of Business Administration and Accounting degree from Cleveland State University.
