This call was the most wonderful call that I ever had. A nurse called me around 12:10 AM saying that she had a female in labor, and she needed my help to interpret the instructions for her because she could not understand what they are asking her to do. So, as usual, I replied, “I will be more than happy to assist you ma’am”. I didn’t know that I was going to be part of the most wonderful thing in life. We started with what the new mother needed to do in order to bring her baby to this world, and I was there with them as heart, soul and knowledge of the target language. After 27 minutes of pushing and resting, I heard the new born baby crying. I was so happy and excited. I felt that I was right there with them at that moment looking at the new born baby. I was smiling and full of joy. Also, at the same time, I felt very proud of myself because I was one of the team members that brought this new born baby girl to our world.
