A new proprietary survey from LanguageLine reveals a significant gap between the importance organizations place on multilingual communication quality and their ability to measure it.

LanguageLine surveyed 113 professionals responsible for language access, operations, clinical services, quality, customer experience, and technology strategy.

The findings reveal that:

  • 71.7% identify interpreter quality as a top concern
  • 34.5% have no formal process for evaluating multilingual communication quality
  • 83.2% consider a unified view of quality, compliance, and performance valuable or extremely valuable
  • Only 12.4% are currently using or piloting AI-assisted interpretation

The report also examines how organizations are evaluating quality today, which monitoring capabilities leaders value most, and what they see as the greatest challenges over the next three to five years.
