LanguageLine Solutions has once again been recognized as the global leader in interpretation services, topping the 2025 Nimdzi 100, an authoritative ranking of the largest language service providers (LSPs) in the world. This marks the fourth consecutive time that LanguageLine has earned the distinction as the number one interpretation provider worldwide, a title it has held since the rankings were launched in 2019.
Compiled by international research firm Nimdzi Insights, the 2025 Index provides an in-depth analysis of the size and state of the global language services industry. It ranks the top 100 providers by 2024 revenue. LanguageLine not only retained its leadership in interpretation but also held its position as the second-largest language services provider overall, with annual revenues exceeding $1.1 billion.
“Being named the world’s top interpretation provider is a powerful affirmation of the trust our clients place in us and the excellence of our nearly 40,000 linguists,” said Simon Yoxon-Grant, President and CEO of LanguageLine Solutions. “We’re honored by the recognition, but more than that, we’re motivated. Motivated to keep leading with innovation and inclusion at the heart of everything we do.”
According to the Nimdzi Index, LanguageLine’s interpretation revenues in 2024 were 38 percent higher than those of the next largest provider, reflecting the company’s strong lead in the market. LanguageLine facilitated more than 85 million interactions last year, a 42 percent increase from 2022 when Nimdzi last conducted its biennial assessment.
The company experienced notable expansion in 2024 across emerging sectors, including AI translation, and integration with telehealth and electronic health records (EHR). It introduced a new suite of translation and localization services that combine machine translation with expert-in-the-loop human review to meet the growing demand for efficient and accurate language solutions.
In early 2025, LanguageLine expanded its capabilities in accessible communication through the acquisition of ZP Better Together, a leading provider of language solutions and technology for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing communities in North America. ZP is widely recognized for its Video Relay Services (VRS) and inclusive technologies, further positioning LanguageLine as a comprehensive provider of language access services.
LanguageLine’s strong showing in the Nimdzi Index follows its recognition earlier this year as the second-largest LSP in the world on the Slator 2025 Language Service Provider Index. While one-third of companies in the Slator ranking experienced revenue declines, LanguageLine achieved significant growth year over year.
As the language services industry continues to evolve, LanguageLine remains committed to expanding access to communication through expert linguists, cutting-edge technology, and client-first service.
