LanguageLine Solutions, the world’s leading provider of language access solutions, has been selected as a supplier under a new Scottish Government framework for interpreting, translation and transcription services across Scotland’s public sector.
LanguageLine was awarded a place on Lot 2 – Telephone and Video Conferencing Interpreting Services, which will enable participating public bodies throughout Scotland to access LanguageLine’s remote, on-demand interpreting services. The framework covers a four-year period.
Under the framework, LanguageLine will provide telephoneand video interpreting between English and a wide range of spoken languages and dialects. Services include on-demand telephone and video interpreting as well as scheduled video interpreting for assignments booked in advance. Public bodies may connect through their own video portals or LanguageLine’s technology.
The framework is designed to support public-sector organizations across Scotland, helping them communicate effectively with the increasingly diverse communities they serve.
The Scottish Government framework consists of four lots covering face-to-face interpreting; telephone and video interpreting; translation and transcription; and British and international sign language services.
