LanguageLine Solutions, the global leader in on-demand language access, is proud to announce the expansion of its Video Interpreting service with the addition of Kinyarwanda.
This latest language addition strengthens LanguageLine’s commitment to helping organizations connect instantly with individuals who have limited English proficiency or are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
Kinyarwanda is a Bantu language spoken by approximately 12 million people, primarily in Rwanda, where it serves as an official language. It is also used in Burundi, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The inclusion of Kinyarwanda responds to client feedback, increased user demand, and evolving demographic trends in communities where the language is spoken.
Video interpreting for Kinyarwanda is available Monday through Friday, from 5 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Pacific Time, via the LanguageLine App. LanguageLine now offers video interpreting in nearly 50 languages, including American Sign Language (ASL) and British Sign Language (BSL).
“Our clients count on us to reflect the changing demographics of the communities they serve,” said Simon Yoxon-Grant, LanguageLine President and CEO. “Adding Kinyarwanda allows us to support a growing population with meaningful, real-time communication in moments that matter most.”
LanguageLine Video Interpreting provides secure, on-demand access to professional interpreters within seconds, helping organizations build trust, reduce misunderstandings, and deliver outstanding support during critical moments. The service is widely used across healthcare, government, education, and customer care settings.
LanguageLine clients with existing video access will have Kinyarwanda automatically enabled. To add LanguageLine’s video solution, please contact your Account Executive or reach out to the Customer Care team at CustomerCare@LanguageLine.com.
